Scout Advancement Dashboard

Scouts and parents see rank progress, merit badges, and activities in one view.

Summary

Every scout and parent gets a personal advancement dashboard showing exactly where they stand. See completed and open requirements for each rank, track merit badge progress toward Eagle, review leadership positions and service hours, and monitor camping nights and hiking miles — without asking the scoutmaster for an update.

Highlights

  • Advancement at a glance — One screen shows rank progress, merit badge counts, leadership positions, activity totals, and special awards.
  • Rank trail — Each rank from Scout through Eagle is listed with every requirement's status: not started, in progress, completed, or approved.
  • Merit badge progress — Filter by Eagle-required, elective, or in-progress badges with counselor names and completion dates.
  • Eagle readiness — See how many Eagle-required and total merit badges are earned versus needed, with alternative group credit tracking.
  • Activity totals — Camping nights, hiking miles, and service hours are tallied automatically from logged activities.
  • Youth sign-offs — Eligible scouts can sign off requirements for lower-ranked scouts, building patrol leadership.

How It Works

Log in as a scout or parent and open the Advancement tab. The At-a-Glance view shows summary cards for ranks, merit badges, leadership, activities, and awards. Tap any card to drill into the details — for example, tap Ranks to see the full requirement list for each rank with completion status. Merit badges show Blue Card, In Progress, Partial, and Completed statuses along with Eagle-required tracking. Activity totals update automatically when leaders log camping trips, hikes, or service projects. Parents see the same view for their linked scouts.
